My Kabul Restaurant & Cafe is a family-owned Afghan restaurant founded by Khalis Noori, an Afghan refugee who came to the United States after fleeing the Taliban. The restaurant was created with a mission to help other Afghan refugees feel at home in a new country. It offers a welcoming space where food, culture, and community come together.
The menu features traditional Afghan dishes such as qabuli pulao, mantu dumplings, kebabs, and bolani. Each item is made with fresh ingredients and authentic spices that reflect the rich flavors of Afghan cuisine. The restaurant also includes unique items like Korean-style fried chicken, blending Noori’s personal journey with culinary creativity.
More than just a restaurant, My Kabul is a community center. It provides jobs to refugees and gives discounts to those starting over in a new land. Through food and hospitality, the restaurant creates a sense of belonging, helping people feel safe, supported, and connected.
